One of the most important aspects of our role is to ensure somewhere to stay on the day of release.
These included complex trauma, learning disabilities, clinical depression, and accommodation lost to “cuckooing” by drug gangs. In 2019-20, we supported 130 people with a range of needs. Our “through the gate” prisons service works in partnership with Nacro (a national social justice charity) to help people being released from prison in London.

The service plays a key role in ensuring that our residents maintain relationships with family and friends, and enables them to lead full and meaningful lives. We work closely with a range of health and social care professionals. Residents receive support maintaining their tenancies and developing daily living skills, and are helped to participate in the local community. Our Kent Learning Disability Service provides five supported living houses for 23 people with mild to moderate learning disabilities. This helps people to build the life they want to lead free from abuse. We promote and encourage choice and independence. There is no time limit on how long people can stay, with the average stay being 10 months. There are both shared houses and self-contained flats within a larger refuge building. Our 11 refuges provide 80 spaces for women and their children. We provide safe accommodation for people from across the country who are experiencing domestic abuse or violence through our Kent Integrated Domestic Abuse Service. Self-referrals are accepted from people experiencing domestic abuse or violence, as well as from those wishing to access our drug and alcohol recovery service. This accommodation is normally provided to people referred to us by agencies such as local authorities, the police, and health and social care professionals. We will strive to maintain our reputation for academic excellence and approach every day with a student centered focus.We offer supported housing to people with a range of needs. The teachers and administration work diligently to ensure the best for every student and we have been successful at exceeding the expectations of the state Department of Education continuously. The Clarion-Limestone High School thrives on outstanding academic performance. We also provide numerous clubs and activities to accommodate the interests of our students. In addition to academics, our students have an opportunity to participate in a wide array of studies: technical and business exploration, music, arts, health and physical education.
